Total Qualification Time

This is an estimate of the total length of time it is expected that a learner will typically take to achieve and demonstrate the level of attainment necessary for the award of the qualification i.e. to achieve all learning outcomes.
Total Qualification Time is comprised of GLH and an estimate of the number of hours a learner is likely to spend in preparation, study or any other learning including assessment, which takes place as directed by, but not under the supervision of a lecturer, supervisor or tutor. The credit value, where given, for a qualification is determined by TQT, as one credit corresponds to 10 hours of learning
Total Qualification Time for these qualifications is 150 hours.
The Credit Value for this qualification is 15.

Guided Learning Hours

These hours are made up of all real time contact time, guidance or supervision of a learner by a lecturer, supervisor, tutor, trainer or other appropriate provider of education or training.
GLH for these qualifications is 84 hours.

Entry Requirements

No formal entry requirements. You need to have:

  • Passion for learning,
  • A good understanding of the English language,
  • You should be able to use a PC at a beginner level,
  • Over the age of 19.

Assessment & Certification

To complete the course and gain a certificate, you must complete-

  • Unit 1: a variety of writing assignments and submit them
  • Unit 2: assessment needs to be taken in a workplace, basically evaluating learners’ work, professional discussions with audio-video evidence.
  • Unit 3: you need to be evaluated through your delivered work items and audio-video evidence after you assess learners in a training environment.
  • Video Assessment: Including observation, questioning/professional discussion, and inspection of supporting work product evidence needs to be planned to 15-30 mins.

Assessment activities are the fulfilment of a few short assignments. You are expected to show evidence of general reading and add references to your work.

All assignments should be submitted via the online portal.
