This qualification is Internally Assessed. Each learner must create a portfolio of evidence that demonstrates achievement of all the learning outcomes and assessment criteria associated with each unit.

There are no specific entry requirements for this qualification. However learners should be 19 to undertake the qualification.

Geographical Coverage

This qualification has been accredited for use in England and Northern Ireland.

Practical Requirements

The practice component is a vital aspect of high-quality initial teacher training.

At least 30 hours of teaching log is required with 3 observations (one hour each) for Level Certificate in Education and Training (RQF).

A: Learners who have completed the Level 3 Award in Education and Training and who are progressing directly to the Level 4 Certificate in Education and Training cannot bring forward any credit or observed and assessed practice.

A: The NCFE Level 4 Certificate in Education and Training (CET) is an introductory teaching qualification that provides essential knowledge and skills for teaching and training in post-16 education (e.g., Further Education and Higher Education colleges).

A: As simulation is not allowed, you are required to conduct the 30 hours of teaching practice in a real classroom setting.

A: No, you can start Level 4 CET without doing Level 3 Award in Education and Training.

A: You can resubmit your revised assignment based on the feedback provided by our tutor.

A: It entirely depends on you. Whether you want to complete the course in a matter of weeks or spread it over 12 months. At Teachers Training, we provide complete flexibility, allowing you to complete the course at your preferred pace.

A: We offer a one-year access period to our online course materials. However, we may extend this period upon request as long as you are actively progressing towards completing the course. In such cases, you are required to pay additional fees.

A: Guided learning hours or, GLH are made up of all contact time, guidance or supervision of a learner by a lecturer, supervisor, tutor, trainer or other appropriate provider of education or training.

Guided Learning Hours for this qualification is 48.

A: Total Qualification Time is made up of GLH and an estimation of how many hours a learner will likely spend preparing for, studying for, or engaging in any other type of learning, such as assessment, which occurs at the learner’s direction but not under the guidance of a lecturer, supervisor, or tutor. 

There are 120 hours required to complete this certification in its entirety.
